Personal Reflection

This course helped me a lot because it's one of the courses which focus on enabling me to develop academic language skills and some basic research in preparation for the demand of my academic program.

First of all, I have learnt how I can do my Curriculum Vita with the best layout and performance. Then, I had to be interviewed to get over the panic of the interview. Also, I have learnt to write reports using an appropriate style and also to locate and use written resources appropriately.

Secondly, I have learnt how to work with group project.  As being a part of a group in this course, we had to go through all the tasks that been planned together such as meeting agenda, meeting minutes and meeting reports. Most of them were done perfect.

Thirdly, this course supported me in making presentations in a comprehensible and concise manner, appropriate to academic settings. Also, it makes you able to stand in front of audience with more confident if you practice more.

Last but not least, we had to work as a group in doing a project. I have realized that team works make any difficulty become easy with co-operate and support. As a team leader, I have found that the best way is to meet with the team and have a timeline to follow up and make sure that we are in the right track.

To sum up, this course focuses on the development of communication skills needed in academic programs. I am glad to have liked this course which benefits and was useful to me.
